Breman Genemuiden

The new Breman Sasdijk building in Genemuiden will serve as a central hub for the Breman Installatiegroep.
The ensemble, consisting of a two-storey logistics hall and a three-storey office building, is being constructed entirely using modular timber construction – a precisely prefabricated system made of glulam (BSH), cross-laminated timber (CLT), and large-format wall elements.
Task

Integrated Structural Design with Precision

WIEHAG is responsible for the complete implementation of the structural system – from project management, planning and engineering to production and on-site assembly. Due to the high number of integrated building services, special emphasis was placed on precise pre-planning and coordination of openings: all cutouts for technical installations were prefabricated with millimetre accuracy at the factory. Assembly is carried out by WIEHAG’s in-house installation team. A structural hybrid solution was used for specific primary beams, which were executed in steel to accommodate large spans and high loads.

Implementation

Functional Efficiency in Timber Construction

The load-bearing structure consists of glulam (BSH) columns and beams, CLT slabs, roof elements and parts of the interior walls, while the exterior walls are made of prefabricated WIEHAG wall elements. The project includes:

1,100 m³ of BSH
1,450 m³ of CLT
4,300 m² of wall elements
180 t of steel (including connection parts)

The combination of industrial precision, integrated planning and high-quality prefabrication once again highlights WIEHAG’s expertise in delivering complex timber construction solutions.
