The new World of Volvo, which opened in April 2024 in Gothenburg, has been nominated for the 2024 Kasper Salin Prize, Sweden’s most prestigious architectural award. Presented annually since 1962 by the Swedish Association of Architects, the prize recognizes outstanding buildings that set new benchmarks in architectural excellence, innovation, and sustainability.
Designed by the renowned Swedish leading architecture studio Henning Larsen, this visionary structure showcases cutting-edge timber construction. WIEHAG Timber Construction played a key role in bringing the project to life, overseeing the entire timber structure - from consulting and engineering to production and assembly. With its outstanding expertise in timber construction, WIEHAG ensured the seamless execution of this exceptional architectural vision.
The 2024 Kasper Salin Prize will be awarded on April 3, 2025, in Stockholm.
